After talking with Peter yesterday we have limited numbers around 30 people for a sit down meal. If you want to come and join in Peter will post details up of meeting points along the way.

From what Pete said last week, he is planning 3 pick-up points
# 1 Brighton
# 2 Westgate Bridge
# 3 Geelong

I spoke to Pete before, and yes , there will be 3 pickup points :

# 1 Brighton - BP servo on the corner of Nepean Hwy and Nrth Rd. 8:00am departure I dont think we will hit too much GP traffic if we go along beach rd.
# 2 Westgate Bridge - looking at the servo off Todd Rd there - about 8:30am meet
# 3 Geelong - Not sure which servo - Pete will confirm - meet time is 9:30am.

If those times seem early - looks like Freestones mucked him around with the booking and we are booked in for early lunch @ 11:30am.

Will let Pete confirm all that - just posting to give you guys a heads-up.

Hopefully the rain will hold off.

At this stage Pete we can't make it due to the girls Head of The River rowing carnival this weekend

HI guys sorry for not getting on earlier and thanks Ian ,Lucky and Frank for keeping the updates going Its looking at being a good day and quite a few cars have expressed interest .

Plans for Sunday 17th March are: have organised 3 meeting points

1st 8am sharp on the corner North rd and Nepean Hwy Brighton (at the BP servo ) (will be leaving at 8 am sharp )

2nd 8.30 am at the Todd rd service center (trying to leave 8.30 sharp)

3rd 9.30am at the BP Its the BP on the Geelong rd near Avalon. (meet near the tourist information center)

Then all onto Airies Inlet for lunch @ 11.30

We had to bring the lunch time forward as the diner had overbooked and also thought early would leave people enough time to enjoy the area and get home at a reasonable hour
At this stage i have prebooked for 30 and will confirm numbers with them on Friday morning so if interested could you PM me if you are intending coming to guarantee a spot for lunch

The local weather in Geelong for this weekend / is Sunday cloudy , no rain and a top of 18 .

Have just had a call from Christine Freestone to confirm Sunday and that Paul and herself will be there on Sunday to give us a personal tour of there display of cars.
We have also taken our booking up to 40 , we have 33 people confirmed so far for lunch in the diner
I'm looking forward to getting my little car full of chips lol
