18's all round for me, 18x9.5 rear with 275x40's and 18x8 on the front with 245x40's
I reckon it looks O.K.

These wheels are perfect for the car and set it off, sweet!

Mine:

Original for GT/CS 14x6 with 235/60x14

Vert 17x8 215/45x17 and 235/45x17

I would love to see what a set of 5 slotters of the XY's would look like with dress rims and caps on a 69 Sportsroof

I have 17" on my '68 with 40 profile tyres, rides quite well.

I had 15" on my '65 with 50 profile tyres but went back to 14" Styled steels just for original looks.

I had 17" from an '05 on my '70 Mach 1, the ride was ok, need huge 32 mm spacers to fit the wheels.

Gone the other way.

After three years of 18's, 40 series tyres and crap ride, have just fitted 16's and 55 series tyres.

I cannot believe the difference.

Today completed a 50 k Club Run and I now don't have to slow down for every crack in the road, train line crossings have dissapeared, and no tracking, it's now fun again.

Looks great actually - maybe the bigger bodyshell of the 71-73 helps? Dunno if they'd suit an earlier car, but look great there.

Got any pics of your car with the new wheels?

I've got repro Style Steels (15") and want to swap them over for something like A/R Torq Thrust IIs or Show Wheels Streeters in 17", maybe 18".. I'll have to see what will fit and look best..
I'm also tossing up between the polished ones or the charcoal / grey, but I want to see them on the car first..

Let me know when theyre for sale :smile01:

Why thank you, fellas, I think they look awsome  :pepper: on my 72 mach, And a big THANKYOU to Matt and Sherri at Shermatt for their efforts in getting them and the tyres on the car before it was shipped down under.  :smile01:
I got the same Torq-Thrust II rims for my 66 coupe but in 17 inch, 8's for the rear and 7's for the front..... Brought them all from Summit Racing in the USA...
With enough Time and Money almost anything is possible

I "think" they are 1970 Mustang Style Steel wheels. That was what I searched on to locate those pics.
Have seen some painted to match the body colour.
