For all you V12 engine builders out there

Check this out, the worlds smallest V12 engine.

http://www.wimp.com/tiniestengine/

This is not C N C technology; this guy made everything at home on his lathe and drill press.
Took 1220 hours (a year and a half?) to make the 261 pieces.
Note the end-loaded crankshaft into the block (like an Offy),
12 individual cylinder heads, TINY rods and pistons, dual "underhead" cams with pushrods to rockers in the heads.
And, he did break-in runs using an electric drill driving the crankshaft!

Even if you're not an engineer, you'll love this!

I've seen that a few times, yet watched it again. Love the freehand work, that truly is amazing talent.

1220 hours is incredible. The longest I've spent on a handmade job is 250 hours and even that seemed like a lifetime!

A true craftsman, to think he has made every piece and that it can be assembled with a screw driver.

What amazed me was, how many gaskets did you see?

I remember seeing this a while ago as well, still amazing to watch him turn out the crank, very impressive. He must be one of the old time watch makers.
