1966 Shelby GT350 and the words "for cheap" have NEVER been used in the same sentence.

I think there is one or two for sale here ,not to sure of prices .In the usa a fairly good one pulls around 120,000 to 160,000 us dollars . So here with luxury tax you should get change out of 200,000 dollars what a good deal .

Hi Kitto

In think there is a 66 hertz for sale on Car Point for around 140k but you could the contact MOCA Qld to obtain the details of a reputable place to buy a Mustang.

Its quite funny you can buy a classic shelby mustang 65/70 models here in aust as cheap  sometimes as  in the usa . We just dont have the big buyers with that sort of money . Buy the time you buy one in usa ,pay freight and that one would be in its own container pay gst and duty/tax  it adds up big time .

The Mustang club are having the annual concourse at Pelican Park Clontarf today.  I don't think there is anything for sale that you describe but you never know unless you ask.  Members are really easy going nice people.  Why don't you go along and look around and ask a question or two. Good luck.

.........hell yeah!........
don't rush into anything, have a good look around at various years and models etc & work out exactly what you want.......is it a real Shelby you want or a nice Tribute?

Depends whether you want a project, complete, apart, numbers matching - non numbers matching, stick or auto etc etc. Many more questions to be asked before indications of a price range can be applied.

Kitto, you should  visit the SAAC website. Get to know these cars before even thinking about buying. When you finally get one you will not be mereley an owner but a curator. This link from the SAAC website might be useful. Goodluck. http://saacforum.com/index.php?topic=9440.0

there are three types of Mustang's
Coupes, Convertibles & Fastbacks/Sportsroofs
only the fastbacks look like fastbacks

the cheapest will be a nice coupe............all depends on you budget Kitto008

65 or 66 fastbacks are a good place to start. They have the classic mustang fastback look.

I just imported a 66 FB from Cali. 24k all up. I estimate another 25k to restore it like a Shelby...I intend to invest 5k a year over the next 5 years to do a full rotisserie resto on mine. I could probably do it in 2.5 years, but I have other investments and ambitions etc...
