2012 Mustang Round Up and Victorian State Concours

The Mustang Owners of Australia, Victorian branch are proud to present our annual Mustang Round Up and Victorian State Concours. Sunday 21st October, Dandenong Show Grounds, Bennett Street Dandenong. We hope to have over 450 cars on display weather permitting ranging from the 1964 ½ model to the current day model including a display racing Mustangs. This is our clubs day of days with trade stands, parts & accessories vendors, cars for sale, food vendors and more. This year's event will also see the inclusion of Shelby Nationals and are hopeful of beating last year's attendance.

There will also be cars entered into 3 Judged classes:
- Original Class Concours for cars that are as they were when they rolled off the factory line,
- Modified Concours for street machine/restomod type cars.
- Show'n'Shine this class is open either factory standard or modified type car, however these cars are judged on they are presented on the day.

Unfortunately these Judged classes are only open the club members as various entry conditions apply. However non club members are welcome along and place their pony on display on the day.

Gates open public entry from 10.00am and the cost is only $5.00 per person, kids under16 free

Wondering if anyone in Melbourne has a spare spot in a garage (preferably lock up) to park my Mustang Friday and Saturday. Coming from Echuca via Bendigo Friday arvo but am attending Caulfield races on  the Saturday. Have plenty of friends but battling to find a place with safe space for a car. If anyome can help out would be very much appreciated

Happy to provide a safe (locked up) under cover garage space for you.  (The wife's Hyundai is used to being moved out to make way for my Mustang parts)

I live very close to the Caulfield race course so that may also be convenvient for you.

Hi All

For those coming along in cruise with a large group of cars, as per previous year's please be mindful of the arrival times as we don't want 50-60 cars waiting in the street to get in at one time.  It would be greatly appreciated if there is about 10-15 min gap between arrival of large groups to ensure smooth entry for all.

For those coming from the Western suburbs, I have noticed that there is some sort of cycling event on the West Gate Fwy on Sunday from 9am.

Not sure which direction it affects but just an FYI when planning your trip.

I have just checked Vic Roads and the around the Bay in a Day event is on this weekend and
There will be lanes closed in both directions on the West Gate Freeway between 9.30am - 6.00pm - Two lanes will be closed on the West Gate Bridge in both directions

Furthermore, After a long discussion at the recent Committee meeting is was decided for those wanting who are coming to along and advertising their car For Sale on the day there will be a $10.00 charge for members and $30.00 non members.

Hi All

Firstly let me say a Big Thanks to all our helpers/volunteers on the day the club really appreciates your assistance, Secondly Well done to everyone who braved the dark & looming clouds and brought their cars along which made the day such a great day & event.  It was great to see so many little mustangers checking out the cars.
