Expect Delays In Shipping Ex USA

Guys,

Just heard through work, the USA ports are planning strike action, anything not shipped by the 15th Sept will be caught up in the delays, have been quoted 1 day of strike action can lead to a 3-4 week shipping delay, Full strike action proposed at Gulf Coast, East Coast and some West Coast ports.

So if your expecting a car, best get onto your shippers ASAP.

When I was arranging my car to come out this time last year, it was delayed for weeks after the container was bumped back as the result of the 4th July holiday and an RDO the day after - so can relate to this !

Yeah not real sure Nobby, was quoted this by a US freight forwarder we use at work, they suggested a series of rolling stoppages, and vessels waiting to dock as well as those waiting to load will be queuing, so I guess that could be why.
