red light

anyone know what the little red light means in the odometer of a 1966 ford mustang coupe, one time when i turned my lights on it turned on as well but it doesn't happen all the time. also my lights are very dim its as if its not getting enough power. any ideas

That would be the high beam indicator light.

Yep 66 Hertz is right ,original seald beam lights are not much good ,they look very yellow .Maybe time to upgrade and fit a relay as well .You can buy lights at any auto shop and are easy to fit .

are you saying the dash lights are dim, if so the light switch itself will rotate to brighten or dim the dash lights. Be warned the original dash lights aren't very bright at best. If you ever take out the dash assembly, you can remove the little blue plastic lens from each globe holder & that will make the dash lights much brighter.........

If you were talking head lights a pair of halogen will do the trick ,but dont to high in the bulbs unless you fit a relay .
