Hey guys, new owner of a 67 fastback here, looking at converting it into an eleanor.

I heard good feedback from muscle car factory.

I was quoted

Bodykit 4400$ and installing it another 4000$
Paint job (stripped to bare metal) 15k
427 FE engine 12k
Rack and pinion + tilt column 3300$
TCP front and rear suspension around 4k mark
Exhaust system 1500

Im keeping my interior as its in excellent nick so not changing much inside.

Apparantly these guys are a turn key set up, went down checked them out looked legit however new to this all. These prices dont include labour which is around 70$ an hour.

I know these are not theonly guys out there but they seem to do a good clean job, just looking for some feedback

beware paint jobs don't include necessary repair's found when stripping etc.

your not going 100% replica y not consider a newer efi v8?

and as 66 hertz has said expect double and a bit

you seem to have only tried there and if thats who you want to do it thats fine no probs with that

best advice i can give is take the car to as many places as you can and get more quotes this gives you a better indication of value for money and gives you more unique idea's

I took the car down there, he spotted some rested said he strips it down to bare metal lead fills the problematic spots puts a primer on lets it sit then sprays it again. That kind of money I expect the workmanship.
He was telling me he built koche's car from that morning show and copped alot of flak for it. Basically said it was what koche wanted. A BMW in a mustang shell hahaha.

I shot you an email mate regarding an efi engine on the weekend awaiting your reply.

Installation and paint job includes labour right?

So the hourly labour quoted is for installing mechanical parts and interior or is there more to it?

you would think so but you can bet that once stripped it will be found rust here and bad repair there etc. you cant quote a all inclusive price unless your bumping the price up to cover your bum!

which means clarification is a good thing before parting with your pride and joy and cash!

i think you might need to double your budget for the resto is what he meant eg:
body kit 8K
paint 12k
engine 12k
oops the box needs doing
oops the bars need rechroming
oops the body has rust
oops the brakes are too small
etc.
you don't want a half finished car coz money has run out?
just look at the whole picture is what i believe i and he were referring too!

also pop in soon i have the xe here you can look at if you wish

will be here Wednesday too by appointment if anyone wishes to pop in

Yep the labour is inclusive with the 15k for paint and installation of bodykit.

All the labour im paying for is installing the rack and pinion and suspension. The interiror im not touching.
