Hi
I am restoring a 65 coupe but after looking at the quarter windows they appear to have what looks like watermarks all over them
I have tried cleaning them with window cleaner and have also tried a polish with a scratch and swirl remover
does anyone know how I can get these marks off  the glass without having to change them?
thanks   Chris & Sally:shrug:

EDIT - Sorry, Thought you were talking of the Chrome Frames.

You can Polish the glass. Check out the Detailing Forums for a kit to do the job.

It can also be done professionally. Went to pick up a car on Thursday from Dave at Exhaust Plus in Salisbury. He has just had the rear window of his fastback polished. Looks very good. Maybe give him a ring to find out who did it.

Rocket, are you suggesting the glass can be polished with Purple?
My windscreen when it gets foggy also displays water marks which I have been unable to remove!

Hey Johnno, your I think your problem is Gippsland goo from the valley..
I had the same problem for 2 years in Orbost.
Fixed it by moving back over the Great divide.

Roger.

No Johnno, I was talking about the frames. Will check out some Forums and find a glass polishing kit. Back soon.

Here is a good thread about polishing glass -

Don`t know if you need or want to go to that extreme. Here is another i just found on the Autogeek site -

Try using a razor blade angled to the window.
Use it like a paint stripper tool.
I can smell oranges !
