Just got the side vision mirror covers repainted from the original black plastic. it was simple to remove the interior covers unbolt and unplug the electric controls paint and re-install.

That looks great. I did the same thing to mine. I went a little further. While they were painting the mirrors, I had them fill in the anteanna hole as well.
here's how it came out:

I used an amplified internal antenna that mounts on the inside of the glass. It is virtually invisible.
