I had the same experience getting my car on the road - all sorts of stress involved in coordinating engineers report, roadworthy certs, repairs and such. When I went to the rego branch I was preparing myself for all sorts of hassles and questions, but after 5 minutes of paperwork I was out of there with a registered car!

And one thing I've noticed too is that the VicRoads staff are 1000% nicer and easier to deal with these days than the militant grumble-bums they used to hire twenty years ago.

Hi All,thanks for the positive feedback! one thing I have learned from my build up for this car! how you are mucked around ,if you are a newbie like me, like getting charged twice for same jobs, being quoted  for jobs and then bill would be totally different to what was quoted initially. Well it was a good learning experience. Oh yeah another thing ,never to fall for ït needs minor things to get roadworthy" when buying the car! Yeah right, after only thousands of dollars of minor repairs,to the extent of even if the blower doesn't blow on high speed, according to them, Vicroads wont give registration.

Had the car 90% restored, full body repainted in  ford silhouette black, floors painted and floors installed with sound deadener, rebuilt diff, full new upholstery including seats, roof lining, door panel covers, dash pads, steering, new heater core, all new shocks, all new bushes (front and back) all rod ends ,upper and lower linkage, windscreen, new power steering pump, alternator , wiper motors, switches, all rubbers(every rubber in the car is new) door locks, door handles, all lights, (front and back) brand new polished show wheels streeter 18" with brand new 255/55/18 at the rear and 215/55/18 ,all Falkens. Way to many more to describe, spent more than $7000 on parts  only for which I have got all the receipts . I got carried away while rebuilding and unfortunately sad part is I have to sell this as halfway in this build I acquired a 1971 convertible and is almost restored and I can only keep one of the mustang. I understand, I wont get what I spent on the car to get roadworthy and registered , but what the hell, at least somebody will enjoy it,no doubt about that.

I can't see you having any trouble selling if the price is right.

Only thing not done was the engine and transmission, as nothing was needed except for the rear crankshaft seal, which was replaced!
