2K primer over paint
« on: January 14, 2012, 09:21:22 pm »
Have just painted the bonnet of the F100, everything bare metal cleaned, etched, high fill, wet sanded and painted
the paint is satin black 2K (70% gloss) geeze it still shops up imperfections!!
my question is in regards to touching up a few areas im not happy with..
can i wetsand the black with say 180 wet/dry, spray some more hi-fill primer over the areas and then continue the process or do i have to remove the current black to get good adhesion??
any advice much appreciated
cheers,
Jack

Just chop it back with 120 or 180 & hifill away. As long as the surface is keyed up the hifill will stick no problem.
