Hi I have just found a wire running along the top of the inlet manifold on the LH side. It was just hanging free. It has a tag on it as if it slides over a sender unit. I put my test light on it with ignition on and it pulses current....any idea where it goes?

Electric choke wire?

Hmmm, nup dont think so, it comes out of the standard loom and looks to be yellow, before someone attached a red section to it. It has an Edelbrock carb with lecky choke by the looks all connected ok. I have not had the car long, so I am still getting familiar with it.

One wire goes to temp sender unit on intake manifold and other wire goes to Oil pressure sender unit on engine block.

Yep, if it's pulsing its almost definitely coming off the voltage regulator. Do you have a non functioning gauge?

Ahhhh, Thanks Guys! Correct, Gauge is not working. I can see the one to the temp sender, i will try and locate the oil pressure sender.

Lh side, down in front of your oil filter, about the size of q cotton rel
