New Seats Installed
« on: December 02, 2011, 11:56:04 am »
Have been thinking about new seats for awhile now and last week these Procar Rally 1000 in leather came up locally for sale. Spent this week doing the install and Dynamat while I was at it. Took it for a drive last night and I think the interior sound is lower but its hard to tell.

Cool! They go quite well with your car.

So the dynamat wasn't worth it you think? I've thought about it but my car is quite loud and I don't know if it is worth the cost to do it. I think its about $400 for the floor section?

Sweet looking seats, I was considering those as well, but have sourced some BA XR Leather ones to install.

The Stang looks awesome as well :thumb:

What are your thoughts on the Dynamat ??

I was told it was a waste of money and that other brands do the same but did it make a huge difference ?
Can't wait to get it finished and enjoy it ! They need to have overhaulin here in Aus!!

Very nice

Have been looking for the same seats but haven't found a local supplier.

Were they local or shipped from the US?

Why would you want to reduce the noise inside the car. I love driving around with the windows down so I can fully appreciate the sound of that wonderful V8.

I went for another drive today I do think it made a difference and definietly in the heat department. Much cooler around the feet and its in the 30s today.

This is the first time at doing this and haven't used any other product. I did tey some silver tape with some kind of black stuff on the back to seal up the joints, but it didn't stick anything like the Dynamat. As long as the surface is clean and the big chunks removed, it'll stick.

They were sourced from Scat Procar direct I believe in the US.

I've invested in a quality stereo and have spent my life listening to engines, the music wins this one.

I was thinking it may eliminate some of the road noise. There's no chance of quietening down the motor, I've only got one working ear and even I think mine is loud as shit. It would be nice to just remove some of the muffled road noise you get.
