Only paid a pittance
for her but she was complete. Every part was there. Factory 28 spline top loader with factory shifter. Also had a limited slip diff 8 3/4 of course. Took the tag off the diff and it was stamped "F". I was very surprised when I looked it up on the net. She has plenty of rust in the floors but I have a full 1 piece floor pan which I will be putting in so that will sort that problem. The rest is a walk in park. I hope.

We parked our beasts in a car park near his work and took a few photos. Here are some of the shots we took. We then went for a cruise to mernda and then went home

Pulled the 1 piece floor pan out of the shed ready to go in soon. Also found a bit more rust in the toe boards. However did not want to put pieces in. I wanted the whole 1 piece so I had to hunt down a whole fire wall section. Not happy about having to replace it but it should look original and clean once installed. I bought the fire wall section from "old school" parts in spencer st thomastown. He has a heap of mustang stuff and is very helpful .

Motor finally out today as well and also started on the cowl. Found that the right hand side had rusted out so i started the removal process today by drilling out the spot welds. Top looks ok but the bottom is rat shit. Looking to buy the patch pieces now

The 347 is getting built by a family friend. However I am doing all the running around like getting the original block bored 30 thou. I will then give him all the bits to put together. I have all the parts except the cam. I will leave that up to him. I imported the 347 scat kit from the states when I imported the car along with some edelbrock alloy heads.

A lot of dogs on the forum but no parrots so I thought I would include some pix of my pet that keeps me company in the garage.

Hay Gretschem I think your fastback is in a lot better condition than mine. Yours should be a piece of cake.

They're beautiful birds. My brother brought one home from his work one night. I bet it likes to watch everything you do too.  :thumb:

Managed to add the front left support rail in last week which turned out pretty well. The one on the right side was in ok condition but I decided to change them both. Only cost an extra $55 and 2 hours work for a better look.

Maybe I am better off waiting for this to come on the market. Expected date of release is May 2013 and the price $15995. All I have to do is change my vin over. Alot less work.
