Just wondering if anyone has purchased a performance programer such as the JET 15003 Performance Programmer and if so did it work on the 2001 / 2002 Cobra.
I ask this as if Ford Australia has modified the code it will not work.
So if anyone has tried something similar it would be good to know.

Ford Australia has switched off the rear O2 sensors as a minimum because the cars here come with headers not cast iron manifolds - however most the good tuners (Diablo, SCT etc) allow you to do that anyway. I know one guy in the local club bought a chip, larger exhaust and cold aor intake and reports 400hp at the crank....

I dynod my car at a local club day about a year ago and it was 217ish at the wheels.

yes can be tuned via sct, sniper, hp tuners and i assume diablo (never used it)
have successfully tuned aust delivered mustangs with sniper and sct in the past!

Jiffy any recommendations as to what is available in Oz or where to buy a chip or tune system from?
2002 MUSTANG COBRA - 4.6 SVT 5 SPEED - CONVERTIBLE.
Lowered Kings Springs, 3.73 diff gears, JTG CAI,  18" ROVOS DURBAN RIMS. MGW Short Shifter.  Slotted brake rotors. 2 1/2" SS Exhaust with Magnaflow high flow cats and mufflers.

My advice is to not buy a tune in a box or a chip - take it to a reputable tuner who will be able to tune the car for you from scratch. It's likely to be more expensive but when I bought my " tune in a box" it was crap and I had to take it to get tuned and they said the tune that had arrived in the box was dangerous to the engine. Take the car somewhere get it done by someone who has a dyno and you be pleased when it comes back.
Don't bother with a cold air intake, they're worthless. Consider a cat-back or full exhaust as I got about another 500rpm of acceleration out of mine with a 3inch full system inc hi-flo cats.
