who is a happy little vegemite this morning? picking it up on Tuesday. :fantastic:
I am sure there were a few people in WA who looked at this one. originally listed at $22k, owner did have an offer for $20k,  then relisted at $20k . I got it for < $20k . Buyers market at the moment. Tempted to rush out and buy another I looked at.. a 66 GT but will cool my heels for now and then decide on a future purchase with investment in mind.. this one will be my weekend drive and a learner for working on.. I will only be doing a little bit of work, new bushes all round, minor leak from trannie sensor or sender or something like that and suspected minor leak from engine sump plug. new disc pads in the front, exhaust mount one side.. that is about it.. tear in drivers seat is staying as are other imperfections for now, cause that is how I like it.. as near original..  might change my mind later.. but for now just happy to own and drive a Stang  https://picasaweb.google.com/115444028264240193561/65HardtopGTOptionPack#

ahh oops  " Another option introduced in April of 1965 was the GT equipment group. Available only with one of the two four barrel engines, the GT group included five-dial instrumentation, disc brakes, larger sway bars, quicker steering ratio, dual exhaust which exited through the rear valance panel, grill mounted foglights, and special lower body side stripes"   OK so this doesn't have the fog lights or lower body stripes.  It does  have a 4 barrel carby (is that corrrect and does have the front discs.. not sure if larger sway bars.. I actually leant towards this one as for me it looked, drove and sounded better compared to 66 which does appears to be a true GT and is also very nice as well.. the 66 just didn't do it for me for some reason..  go figure. guess the second stage cam clouded my judgement
still happy :smile02:

should I buy it also and risk divorce  or wait for something a bit more exotic?  decisions decisions

all mussys  are gems waiting to be uncovered.  if you had the dollars you could pretty much option them up  into thousands of combos in 65. wouldnt be surprised if the indivudual gT  peaces were factory fitted. have you tried looking for the build sheet yet .keep us informed of any other developments while you clean her up. :thumb:
