Clutch cable to firewall entry point

I need to know if anyone with a 2001 cobra has a teflon spacer between the end of the clutch cable and the firewall as my clutch is gripping on the top of the release and I am not sure if this was placed as a after market item
It is the white teflon as seen on the image attached.
Thanks in advance.

Yup, sure has - the end of the black cable fits into it and then the white part goes through the firewall.
Having problems with your clutch? - having the same issue with my 2002 Cobra, happy to talk...

Try taking the split pin out of the shaft the cable U-clip sits on. It rests on two little yellow bushes.
REmove them all, grease the shaft and reassemble - see if that's any better.
Get a can of WD-40 with the little red tube that allows you to spraya small surface at a distance. Spray the end of the cable where it goes into teh sheath through the firewall - see if either of these improve the movement....
