Had this conversation with the live help;
andrew: Question what and why instead of the time left it says checking ? on the mustang auction
admin: Welcome to Bang Auction How may I help You?
andrew: question above
admin: the site is freezing up... due to many people placing bids... the timer will reset to 6 secs, giving an opportunity for another person to bid
andrew: so when does the auction end ?
admin: no specific time for that if no one placed bids the last one who placed the bid will be proclaimed as the lucky winner and the auction is finished and over
andrew: the last one at the moment is Tiger. how is the end time determined ?
admin: when no one places bids then the time will also be up so the last bidder will be the lucky winner
andrew: how long does it have to sit with no bid activity so that it ends ?
admin: we can't tell exactly coz we don't know the exact figure of people bidding
andrew: why does the number of people bidding affect my question when i'm asking the length of time with no bid activity?
admin: we cannot tell because the timer relies on the bids being placed
admin: is there anything else?
admin: thank you for showing interest...hope I answered your concerns. Thank you and Happy bidding!!
andrew: no my concerns are not answered
andrew: so the auction could never end ??
that is as much as I had copied, the rest went something like this;
admin: if bids kept being placed then it's possible the auction keeps going
andrew: ok so from the instant all bidding stops when does the auction end ?
about 5 seconds later my live help was terminated, seems like we are not allowed to know the rules. they could make mega bucks like that. how does the bidder know if the auction comes to a genuine end ?
can anyone explain this ?
