G'day all, can I please have some ideas on the best way to clean my woodern steering wheel, to make it look like new again?

Took the lacquer off the wood with paint stripper, smoothed it with steel wool then re-lacquered it with Cabot's clear gloss - needed about three coats from a spray can.  Used metal polish on the alloy spokes. Came up a treat.
