Won't it stuff up the geometry, like putting XR onwards spindles in a 66 and earlier Mustang?

Yeh it's all 6cyl stuff I was xt was a easy fit with tge same stub axles. Or I could go xy but I would have to do something with the tierod end been too big.

if u were going XY, then you may as well go to XF, cheaper, parts more readily avail. and lighter
tie rod end is not a problem, just get the larger ones from bursons etc..
i believe there is however a difference in the spindle height geometry which may cause bump steer? ShaunP knows all, but apparently they must be heated and bent in a ceratin area to accomodate for this, then magnafluxed to ensure integrity

Xy is fine I have them on my 65 mustang you use a xy tierod end to a 65 mustang v8 steering set up. Remember xp never had a v8 so the steering arms and tie rod ends are smaller then the v8 stuff. So you would have to put a sleeve on the 6cyl tierod end to make it fit on the xy set up.
