Very nice and welcome. Not often we see a red car changing to yellow but it looks the goods.

Hi Dalex

No the car was never red what your seeing is the primer.
When I bought the car it was black with lime green shag pile carpet. The original colour was called light ivy yellow but samples I found when taking out the hood lining it looked more like a dirty white. So I decided on Rapid a BA XR8 colour.
When I get time i'll scan some old pictures from when I bought it and add too the photo bucket album

Was at Merrylands today, what a great turnout & fantastic weather. I was talking to a few owners and tried to show them my photobucket album on my phone but with the glare and small screen it wasn't very successful. So I thought I'd resurrect this topic incase they are visitors to this site.
Sorry I didn't get names

Thanks guys, been a long time project as ponyride noticed with the tow vehicle. Cover is off and time to start working on it again. It's been on the backburner for a few years while my son & I have been playing with gokarts. He's about to start year12 and wants to go to his Y12 formal in it next year, so it's no.1 project from now on.
Glenn, there great in yellow arn't they. When I decided on yellow there weren't to many out there, nowthere everywhere.Should have finished it a long time ago.

That photo reminds me of a picture I have of mine when I picked it up. Except mine has a boring Territory and not a 351 XD.

Not just a 351 XD. Looks to have the Phase 5 Autos body kit. Wonder what else was under the skin.

Hey Ash,you might like my tow vehicle better than your Territory but at least it looks like the stang you bought home on a trailer looks a lot better than the one I'm towing.

And malskar, not Phase 5,kit was by USC (ultimate or united sports cars I think it was) they were in Taren Point.
8" & 10" hotwires.
Nothing radical under the bonnet, bored 10 thou & balanced, mild cam, yella terra heads,600 vac secondary holly and genie extractors with stainlesss exhaust.
4 speed not auto.
And I still miss  the car after 18 years.

It did look pretty good until the carpet and paint came off.

A mate of mine here in town who has a 70 Mach 1 also has his son pushing to get it back on the road by his formal. I've still got a bit of time up my sleeve before my kids start pushing for the same thing.
