Let's see... There was the obvious Shelby Cobra range, including the Daytona coupe, the Mustang based Shelbys, including the modern ones, the Dodge Viper, One of the Dodge Pickups was a Shelby as well, and then there was the Ford GT 40, and the modern re-make, and the current series of Shelby supercars, plus the original Cobras are still being manufactured in either Aluminium ao F/Glass bodies from the factory.
cheers, Ron B

Henny Penny was all we had for a Sat night chok treat otherwise it was the local Chinese shop or whip up the Road to johnies milk bar ( you would know that one Heaven) for the biggest Hamburger, and 5 cent scallops and a metal container with a real chocolate milkshake you would take 3 bucks have a massive meal and still have two bob left  to attach a piece of cotton with some sticky tape and play the pinnies all night :pepper:,when I did my apprenticeship at a BP servo I used to have to put down all the tools run out to the bowsers click the big leaver and ask the driver fill er up ?? then proceed to check oils, water, and ETC was all OK under bonnet(no self serve back then) before they handed over $10 to pay for a full tank of Super,it was the best $106 per week job in the world, center roof areals, hotwire mags,CIG locker Banjo diffs, airshocks, was all the rage and a hidden kill switch going from the coil to under the dash was all the  security you had, when ya parked your car at the local shops or Gillies Lansvale, mobile phones ment I was lucky enough to beat the family to the olive green phone in the hall wich I could then stretch the cord into my bedroom for a private chat (yep thats about as mobile as they got back then LOL! we could go on all night couldnt we

I bore my son to death everytime we go to the local fish&chip shop ...

When I was his age , I would get 20c to buy my lunch which was 5 potato cakes and 10c chips !

What is the minimum chips these days ?  .. $3 ?  you would need a truck back then to carry them !

So potato cakes are 80c or $1 now ... so 50 x inflation. .. I dont think wages have gone up 50 x !!!!

I used to get $2 / hour as bag boy at Woolies - dont think similar job would pay $100 / hr now !!!!!

Those were the days young fellas ...!!!

Cheers,
Frank.

Now you're bringing back memories Frank. As a teenager we'd go surfing at Scarborough in winter and be that hungry after, we'd scrounge the crummy bits of batter that the fish and chip bloke used to scoop out of the cookers. He'd keep them in a bag for us. Yuk! Peter's by the Sea, it's still there. When I was a little tacker we lived in a small country town. A bob (about ten cents for those too young to know) used to get me pool admission and a Twin Pole! Remember when vegemite rolls were 7c at the school tuck shop?

STUD COLA

Wow, I do remember that, it came in a jeans blue can that had an embossed denim texture.

Also, the snack food - 'Something to Munch on While You're Having a Drink'.

BTW, why is this called Ferris' Ferrari?  I was expecting to see a Ferrari thread and how did this topic pop up all of a sudden, the new forum change juggling things around?

I recall mum buying 'lard' to use in cooking. My dad used to also make us toast with dripping or something else that was yellow and fatty. People ate this stuff and yet ... no obesity problems back then.

Sure do, never had one though.

We had 4 kids in the family so this one kept us entertained many times.
