Last nationals was pure luck!

My wife was doing a prac at Adelaide Zoo for 3 days the week after easter, so i decided to go a few days early! booked the trip, then found my date correct engine and twisted the wifes arm to get it! had to pay that in a hurry to try and get it on a container that was due to leave almost straight away, so paid the man, left for adelaide with $300 in the bank, i was lucky i found free accom with a friend.

found out while in adelaide the container was held up due to import approval problems for a car in the container... so could have held off paying that for a few more weeks, and actually be able to do something while i was there...

oh well, got to meet Dale and his car! had a great time.

i have plenty of couches to crash on in Newy. i lived there for a year just out of school, and i have family in muswellbrook, singleton, maitland Kurri Kurri, and some good friends in Cessnock, and the city...

its not in islington park is it? lots of working girls around there...

Mustang Nationls 2012 will be held at Newcastle over Easter.

The display area for the Sunday is the foreshore park in Newcastle ... near the Old Brewery and Ferry Terminal.

Functions, meeting place and all round watering hole and nourishment centre is at West's Leagues in New Lambton.

Accommodation will be provided by the Executive Inn which adjoins the Leagues Club.

The inspection of concours vehicles will be undertaken on the Saturday at a location just opposite the West's Leagues Club ... their Bowling Club ... BUT, that plan is still being discussed with the club.  West's and the Executive Inn have been exceptionally helpful which means a good chance of everyone being very happy.

The programme has pretty well been organised including a couple of tourist trips and good pricing deals.  Full details will become available very soon but we do not want to encroach on the 2011 Nationals on the Gold Coast this Easter.

The general show n shine will be on the Sunday at the Foreshore Park.

There will be concours judging taking place on the Saturday but that will only apply to a minimal number of vehicles.  Attendees are welcome to view but the judges will have a big day of judging ahead of them and will generally limit discussions to the owners of the vehicles.

It looks like the venue for the Concours judging (Saturday) may no longer be the bowling club but now at the local Ford dealership with access to their workshop facilities.

:welcome:

Looking forward to Newcastle. Never been there, but I did like the Newcastle Song performed by Bob Hudson (I think?) in the 70's.
