Damn !!! that's awesome !

Weird - I just realised it's a 69 front with a 70 rear.

Also no side scoops that I can see.

Cheers,
Frank.

Can the 69 grill & headlights go on a 70?

Coz i wanna import a fbk project and 70 seems to be a fair bit cheaper but i always wanted a 69 so if they can thats great!

Hi boss427,

One word...TUFF!!!

It looks as though you've painted the rim's (minilites???) silver/grey colour which is a great contrast and it adds to the overall Trans-Am/Pro-Tourer look...Rear diffuser is an interesting touch also.

The 69' Boss 302 headlight bucket blackout's look cool as well. The colour, is that Calypso Coral?

Also, is the bonnet scoop off a Cougar Eliminator?

Again, very nice!

Cheers,

Trans-Am:cool:

I dont think the '69 front is a simple bolt-on for a '70. I believe the fenders and bonnet need to be changed also. I think the front valence might be different too.

Cheers,
Frank.

Looks like a standard Mach1 scoop to me.

Cheers,
Frank.

Well i want a 69 so i would be changing alot of it anyway, maybe even the tailight panel... Not a bad idea though.
Just get a 70 and throw on the 69 headlights, grill and fenders, not too hard unless i am forgetting something?

1/ The Mini Lites and all the trim are painted PPG Black Chrome.
2/ The scoop is a Mach 1 that has been widened and lengthened so the injection and air cleaners fit.
2/ There is a fair bit of work fitting the '69 front to the '70. The valance is the same but the gaurds have to be modified where the h/lights fit.
3/ It also has had 1 1/2 inches taken out of the rad. support panel and inner m/gaurds. (Moffat took 2 inches out of his)
3/ The colour is one I had mixed up with red metalic and red pearl. It looks fantastic out in the sun but not to lairey.
4/ I wanted a '69 but couldn't find one at the time. It's the probably the last car I'll ever do up, so I wanted it my way.
5/ The diffuser is a bit of b/s but looks good.

Thanks for the explanation - I couldn't quite figure out the scoop - it looked stock but at the same time , there was something different about it.

I also love the trim in black chrome.

Congrats !

Cheers,
Frank.

How much work is involved?
What kind of work?
The 69 front end is probably the best of all of them

It would be fairly easy using '69 gaurds.

Got the engine running in the car today. Very noisey exhaust, will have to quiten it down. Idles beautifully at 800 to 900 RPM. Very happy. A few minor problems but all now sorted.
