Staghound brand alarm is good - goes off with a big snarl and flashing choppers. :twist:

Or for auto's there's a US made key lock device for the T bar which is great. GPS trackers give the police a good chance of recovery if not disabled. Professionally fitted engine immobilisers are available. A visible steering lock deters joyriders. Secret switch to cut power to the coil, or an electric fuel pump if fitted. Combination of steering lock and secret switch.

Owners are unlikely to say here exactly what they have fitted.

 Hi Guys,

Sorry to hijack the thread but interested to know if anyone has used this brand and what they think.

The Brand is Anti Theft. Features look pretty standard and the price dictates as usual what additional options preferred.

Ok so what if I don't own a dog and don't care to own one.... or if it leaves a turn on your parchment interior... I was thinking of a tracking system like quick track. Any other brands to consider?

Cyclops is a good brand. You can hook up your central locking as well as remote control. $66 for the kit

a carpet python :smile01:

the sight of any tpye of snake should be enough to send any thief :bolt:

go for a good quality car alarm/immobiliser,
and for peace of mind get a low buck realtime gps tracker off ebay.
atleast that way you'll be alerted if someone trips the alarm
via sms. most have microphones for cabin monitoring, shock and door sensors and engine cutout relays.

This sort of system saved a Shelby that was taken recently in Perth and retrieved by the 'boys in blue' leaving the red faced theives very surprised.

There is a unit on the market cheaply that fellow member Seany-boy installed - has an alarm, kill switches, GPS and sends you a text message when it's being stolen, and reports it's GPS position to the you so the plod can find it. You can even phone it up and switch the car off as they're driving it, while you're listening in to them swearing about it....

I personally wouldn't bother with an alarm as nobody pays attention to them. Instead I installed two kill switches. A manual push pull type, and an electronic one which requires an insert to disarm it. The electronic one also has a red flashing light to deter people looking through the window.
