1 week later here is what the finished product looks like:

I decided to go with porsche black with a pearl/flat black for engine bay, doors and the inside of the boot/satin black for the dash. I am happy with all three choices.

UPDATE (15 July 2011)

Heres a few more photos of my eleanor at the moment, it doesnt look like ive done much, but a lot of fiddly work has been completed ie: roof liner, front window/back window, door seals and rubbers, disk brakes finally arrived from RRS, and most importantly the wheels.

Hoping to fit engine, gearbox, clutch etc. in the next couple of weeks. minister of finance has released some more funds. so should be able to make some real progress in the next month or two. :rub:

Great looking car.  Gutsy choice on colour as black is a bugger of a colour to keep clean but looks incredible when it is.  Nice stripes to.

Hi tq1,

Looks to be coming along just nicely...

I dig the 'inspirational' poster hanging on the wall in the garage which is pretty cool, as we all need them at some time through the build up of the car to keep us motivated...

Cheers,

That poster has been a life saver for me when things get tuff or go wrong. There have been plenty in the last 3 years and i just look at that poster and think if mine turns out half as good as that i will be pleased.:rub:

Its funny how quick kids learn to drive a car, yet fail to understand a lawnmower.
