'67 Console?
« on: January 13, 2011, 09:30:49 am »
Hi guys,
please forgive my ignorance if this is a bit silly... but i have only ever seen ONE parts site where they sell a COMPLETE console to suit a '67 auto, yet i have found heaps of 'individual parts' like the doors, lights and the shifter glass (or something like that)
now i may not have been looking very hard or do you have to buy the parts to build your own console or can you in fact buy it already made and ready to fit? reason i ask is the parts seller (mustang auto parts) sells a complete 67 automatic console as complete for about 1,5k and i haven't managed to find another site with a similar product, even in USA?

thanks

then i can put it into perspective as what to do first...

Capital Classics do a reco original unit for around $1200 and ALWAYS have the original components in stock.  Complete reproduction units go for $1500 or more.

Be careful about what you buy and who you buy from as 67 console parts are a minefield.  Talk to the experts before you blow your money.

Would it even possibly be cheaper to buy all the parts i need for a console and then assemble it myself? As opposed to buying it pre-made?

Sure.  It is essentially elbow grease, paint and assembly.  Call us on 02 6161 7669

Here is one supplier - but there are others, so it pays to shop around
