Cheapest parts shipping option

I'm sure this question has been asked before but l searched and could only find answers relating to specific parts suppliers.
I have AC parts for a 65/66 (compressor and blower unit) that a friend in the US is going to send to me. Because of the weight the freight will be quite expensive so lm looking for the cheapest option. Don't care how long it takes to get here, just want to keep the costs down. Any suggestions?

USPS seems ok but I guess , get your mate to make a few phone calls to find the cheapest.

Where are you? You could get it shipped in someones container, if they are going your way. I do it for people all the time, get it sent to the depot in Los Angeles and it will get sent here on the next shipment
