9 in diff colour

I have just pulled the diff out of 65 to be rebuilt. What colour do you paint the dif head and where can I get the correct colour. Looks like red oxide.

The housing is black & the carrier is red oxide. If you are going for full originality it will also have chalk marks & painted bands, the exact nature will depend on the diff (factory, build date, ratio etc) I personaly couldnt tell you what they should be even with all the diff info. There is decoders that will tell you if you want to go that far.
