Mig welders

Been thinking of buying a mig welder and went to a place near work and a mig for panels start at about a grand and then went to bunnings and saw this http://www.bunnings.com.au/products_product_160amp-weldcorp-mig-welder_4546.aspx.. What is the min I should be looking at?

righto...wheres our super forum members that can find an old thread.

This has been discussed prior, and none of us would use that to weld our ex wives hanging frame.

Hopefully someone can link the old thread, as i am hopeless at finding them.

I can't see the price for it but if you wanted one for home use then it would be ok. I have seen many around with similar specs and if you are competant at welding than you should be able to make it work for you. I have used a similar one on my old beetle and on a friends Morris. He has been extremely happy with the results. I am good at welding though and know what settings to get the results.

   not the thread i had in mind..................it was about what to purchase. but good link all the same.


65coupe, if you are that close to the baysi BOC, why don't you call in for a visit.  I am 5 minutes up the road.
