Extractor advice

On my 65 covertible, I have had "Hooker" headers installed on my 302 Windsor.  Unfortunatley, they are so close to the towers, it is stupid.  Can anyone advise of a fix, or, if I need to take a deep breath, which headers should I look to replace the Hooker?

Hi Gavatron,

Is the car L/H drive?

Depending upon the cost to have them removed, altered and then replaced, it may be an idea to look at another alternative.

You have the option of a set of Pacemaker 'Tuned' Length (4 into 1) extractor's;

PH 4010
MUSTANG (1964-69)
260-289-302 Windsor | Manual & Automatic

Note: Will fit C4 automatic.
Will fit with XD to XF integrated power steering RH drive.
Will fit LH drive with original steering box.
Will fit 4 speed Ford top loader gear box.
Will fit with Toyota Supra 5 speed gear box.
Will not fit with LH drive mechanical clutch.
Will not fit LH drive with ram type power steering.
Will not fit with GT40 Heads as fitted to 302W AU II due
to Spark Plug angle.

Hope this helps...

Cheers,

Nothing available locally will be as good as the Hookers or other decent sized pipes, performance wise, unless you have a pretty basic engine.
I have Hedman extractors in stock, in both shorty and full length. I also carry the Scott Drake Tri y's if it is pretty mild.

The local headers only have 1.5" primaries, which is pretty small.

I have a set of Castle headers which were on my 302 (347)  you can find them here http://www.castleauto.com.au/hs_dbase/format_search.php?Y2hfaGVhZGVycy5pbmkrYWxsc2VhcmNo they were the CH-96 4into1 they sit nice and close to the block and also the collector didnt sit to close to the ground as some 4 into1's can 1 &5/8 primaries.

I used them for around a 1000kms then engine blew up so will be selling these soon if you do look at buying let me know and ill work something out. Went with 351w so cant reuse these headers.

Vibe 65 let me know if you want to part with your headers.  I have a left hand drive.
