Had a couple of weeks in Tassie. Loaded the family in the Triton and off we went. On the ferry across the Tasman to Devonport, then to Pt Arthur, Hobart, Huonville, Strahan and Cradle Mountain. The Triton averaged 10.0 Litres per 100 Km, not bad for a 2 tonne car plus passengers and gear!
Nice place but I don't think there is a straight road anywhere! Didn't need 5th gear at all and when a recomened corner speed says 15 kph it realy means 10kph !!
Driving down from where we stayed near Huonville
Tahune Air walk
Cruise on the Gordon River - this is what you get with 3.5 metres of rain per year!!
