I have recently fitted a holley blue fuel pump and its wired through ign circuit via relay. Ive done some research and as a safety thing im after a tachometric relay. It need coil pulse to send signal to fuel pump relay so in the event of a crash and im knocked out the fuel pump will stop as soon as engine stalls. As it is fuel pump runs whenever ign is on.

Problem is while in google land everyone says just go to a local auto elec and they will have one for $20 buck ish or go to a wreckers. I went to 3 auto elecs yesterday plus repco and bursons and no one knew anything about them or where to get them. So does anyone know where I can get one or if I go to wrekers which cars run them and where they are in car. I think maybe VL commodores  had them???

Thanks

Just use an LPG safety switch.
Does EXACTLY what you want it to.
No signal from the coil, so it turns off the flow of LPG in the event of an accident.

Cheers
Jas

cool, sounds simple. wouldn't all cars these days have these fitted? or is it still just LPG?

most cars these days you can hear the fuel pump buzzing away with ignition on... i'd hope they would do the same be it LPG or otherwise?

thanks guys, I called a local LPG guy and he has one for $45 I thought they would be about half that but maybe not. Found the same one on ebay which is what I need just too dear.

thanks moose I might give repco a call and see if they can get it and how much it is to see if I can save a few bucks.

hey Tim I think alot of new cars control this through the computer but in saying that our rav4 you can hear it with ign on but its very quite not like the holley I have (reminds me I have to try and rubber mount it to reduce noise).

At least I have a few leads on where to get them now. Out of curiosity what does everyone else do , do they have this setup if running a elec fuel pump or are you just happy with it running whenever ign is on??

Hey VIBE 65
I am pretty sure I have one of these switches under my house
along with other gas bits.
If you like I can have a look tomorrow.
If it's there you can have it.
I have no use for it.............
Cheers

Yeah , don't touch the ASH/ING. fpx058. Just checked it out , my trade buy price is $198 !!!!!! Suggested retail of $347. Must be wrong , it can't be that expensive. Definitely the LPG relay is the go.

You can get push to reset ones out of old jags at the wreckers, Discos have similar one  just to the right of the console under the dash.

Try the left hand kick panel from memory, it's behind a black plastic cover next to the door jamb. Just below the dash
