A lot of people trade EB-EF and VN-VR Falcons and commodores in, on new cars, as well as SV21 camries, and other older stuff, so it would be popular.
So they'd be getting their $500 - $1000 trade in, plus $2000 off the price. The dealer would have to discount less, and the buyer would still be saving money.
It would also bring the price of cars down, as there won't be a steady supply of VR commodores at the cheap yards, for $3000 or so, so the next cheapest thing, will be VT's etc, which is a lot better for the consumer.
Bring it on, I say, the car industry needs anything it can, to remain viable.
