Buyers Remorse or Unreal Expectations?

The seller of mine originally wanted USD16k and after a couple of months of negotiating, I got him down to USD9,250
I bought sight unseen and from ebay.
The USD rate at the time was .90, so I got an absolute bargain.

Zav, you drive a hard bargain. Well done.

Are you talking of the car in the photos on this Thread?

If so, here is a question for you - How much does it owe you after restoring it? ( if it is not a rude question ).

We know from personal experience that when you add up all the invoices for shipping, components and also a nominal amount for your labour that there would not be much( if any ) profit at a selling price of $30K. Am i correct?

Yes, the red coupe with the 6 in it.
Here's exactly what I paid.
Car: USD 9,250
Agent: USD 1,500
Shipping: USD 2,900 (that included shipping from New York to LA, then onto Melbourne)
Total cost paid on the US side was AUD, $15,200
Paid 2,450 to shipping agent here which included 10% GST, 5% duty, quarantine and other misc charges.
And now I have spent $2,700 getting it ready for the road. (new carby, full service, header fitted, seatbelts installed, new stereo system installed in the glove box , had the car lowered at the front, RWC and custom plates.
So al up to the red pony has set me back $20,350
