      • Hi all, I am new to Mustangs (and Fords). 1965 coupe 289 older RHD conversion since upgraded to rack &pinion. I just got it RWC and registered after a dozen or so items on the fix list. My next jobs are to get the heater and ac working. I think for conversions they used Falcon XW heater box, not 100% sure. Heater tap is seized closed.

        Also curious about the US 3 point inertia reel seat belt kits and the bolting up at the shoulder and note comments others made about engineered reinforcing. RWC guy didn’t like them so I had to revert to lap belts for RWC.

        Brakes were interesting, previous owners had converted to disc brake front end. Looked like a factory set up with factory proportioning valve. I had to replace rear wheel cylinders with 7/8 bore T o stop it locking up back wheels. It brakes well now. Thanks to the brains trust in this forum for that tip.
