Hello all :]
Just looking at purchasing a Mustang from the States and having a real hard time deciding on what to buy.
Obviously it will be something between 64-70 but just can't decide on body shape.
Its between Fastback and Convertible but just want to protect myself with resale down the track, as the wife is a little worried about paying that much for an older car, even though I have showed her the money they can bring.
I love the look of the 69-70 Mach 1. However the convertible also appeals as does the Fastback.
So I thought I would throw it open to the ones who would know, YOU!
Appreciate any help or insight you could give.
Cheers,
DJC :2

DJC. I went with the fastback, but go with what you love...
-
Id go either or. fastbacks are allways going to hold there value but my next car being sent to Oz as my driver will be a 64-66 convertible....thats just me and there in demand just as much as a fastback
It comes down to what you like really and how much your going to spend

Thanks guys,
The convertible would be great, but down in Tassie it may just be a little cold for the hood down most of the year and have been told that you get endless request for weddings.......
I do like the lines of the earlier fastbacks and if it was to be a Mach 1 I would have to say the 69 Mach 1 would be a preference over the 70 if I could choose.
But all in all I suppose it comes down to finding the best car for the $$$
Any options a must have?

Probably a driver, blown way too much money on cars over the years and I have had my purse strings tightened by the missus ;3
However at the right price a restorer could be on the cards ::
Budget of up to about 30K US for the right car.
