Title: Reigstering car with import approval?
Post by: Cowgirl on April 22, 2010, 06:16:37 pm
We need advice on the procedure for registering a car that has LO2 approval. Car is in NSW, we are in Victoria. Is it just a case of getting a road worthy in Vic, then going to Vicroads to register? What are the likely costs involved? I have read the Vicroads website and it is difficult to sort through...  thought someone here might have gone through the process here already and could offer advice.

What documentation should we ensure we get form the seller?

thanks!  :f

LO2 certification comes under the Queensland Transport legislation for imported vehicles made in 1973 and older and refers to seatbelts and lights etc. So this LO2 doesn't apply in the Garden State.

Oops, showing my ignorance there, wasn't aware that LO2 was only Qld, it does have import approval though, what ever that is called in NSW!

Haven't bought another yet, looking tomorrow... stay tuned.  ;{
