trans tunnel of a 69 vs 65

I want to fit a Tremic T56 to my 65 Fastback but dont want to cut the car up as its far to nice for that.
I know a T56 fit a 69 with not cutting.

So is the trans tunnel the same size on a 65 f/b as a 69.
I know that the 65/66 are smaller cars than each later model but is the tunnel the same size to let me fit this 6spd box???;w

Tunnel is the same overall dimension from 64 1/2 - end of the 69 model year, it changed for the 70 model, just a small lump in the side for the Hurst shifter, other than that it was the same also. This covers all body styles.

Floor strengthener that runs from rail extension to rail extension is the same as well.

So Kerry if they are the same I can fit the T56 with out floor mods???
All I need is a new box cross member to secure it to the car and it will work with out a problem.

I have been looking at the GV o/d vs T56 and I really want the T56 but would possibly fit the GV o/d if the T56 doesnt fit but you have told me what I need to know to save me from plan B.

0.62 top gear should work out nice with 4.11's for the strip in the rear end and still be tame on the road for a Sunday drive.
