TILT STEERING COLUMN ADVICE PLEASE
« on: August 24, 2021, 04:59:08 pm »
Im considering a telescopic tilt steering column to get better seat clearance in a 66 convertible.  Can anyone who has been down this path recommend a brand/model that is a relatively trouble free installation?

Thanks in advance.

Marshall

Can't help you with the tilt but,
When I fitted a Borgeson steering box I shortened the steering shaft and column about 80mm.
Gives me great seat clearance and gets the steering wheel out of your face.
Really happy with the result.
Peter.

Thanks for the response Peter, I already have a Falcon column in the car but I think it can be improved.  Will keep working on it.

Hi Marshall, Have you had a look at the Ididit columns - I think they have a tilt version.
Cheers Paul.
