Airconditioner Installaltion
« on: July 04, 2021, 01:09:01 pm »
Hi All. In preparation for Summer, I am looking to instal aircon in my '66 auto 289w coupe. The car is non AC/PS and has an original full centre console that I want to retain.

Can anyone recommend a Sth East Qld (Nth Bis or Sunny Coast preferred but will travel to the Gold Coast in need) shop that will source/manufacture and instal a system that doesn't use the bulky original style under dash unit.

Seems there are 3 main off the shelf unit options - Vintage, Old Air and Classic - any feedback on which to order or avoid would be appreciated.

Cheers

I put factory A/C in my car myself, what an adventure and still cost $3k.
Things to keep in mind you will need a 3 core radiator, fan shroud and better fan (more blades or electric).
If RHD custom made hoses.
does anyone remember laughter
