return to centre
« on: November 19, 2020, 04:06:08 pm »
Hi,
As in previous posts I have installed electric power steering and the only down side is the lack of return to centre as the system puts a little friction on the column
I have improved things a lot by add +4 deg of caster and 1/8" of toe in but still not perfect
I read that the manual idler arms on mustangs had fixed bushes as the inner part is fixed to the rubber and the rubber to the outer creating a spring effect and thus return to centre
does anyone believe this is correct and where would I buy one as the one I bought recently was not as above?
