Ram-air advice please.
« on: January 06, 2018, 10:39:01 am »
Need advice for fitting vacuum lines to the ram-air intake ducts on a '73 Mach 1.

Can anyone with a similar car please let me know the correct connection point for the vacuum signal rubber tube at the manifold end.  Then where the tube goes up into the hood structure ( I have four options to choose from as I see it now ) and finally, the recommended position for the tee connection directing vacuum to the two flap controllers on the plenum.

Any web link info would also assist.  I've tried this forum search topics and Mustang Monthly articles but they don't cover what I need to do.  Also vacuum schematic and other manuals for this set up.  Common sense may kick in at some point.

And happy new year to all the Mustang fraternity.

Missed this one - excellent link, thanks.  My question of the intake vacuum connection looks like a T into any other line that is sensing a similar effect ?  Image 13 of 13 shows an independent fitting but all the ports are in use on this car.  The plenum plumbing is brilliant - that's where I'm going next.

I'll give it a go - can't break anything ! !

Happy daze.
