I was reading in Super Ford magazine that the Boss 429 engine had a short life expected was 40000 miles before rebuild.
Current vehicles below.
2013 Ford Focus
1976 LTD
1969 Mark111 Lincoln
1970 Ford Thunderbird.
Started with a Ford and will end with Ford.

NASCAR engine so I'm not surprised, Colin Chapman would have built it to run 500 miles flat.
