But it's a lot easier to drive when jumping from one car to another.  Certainly love mine, don't love the cost of doing it thou.

There is a lot of conversions about that have not been done fully, eg, swapping the wipers over, this is a tricky bit because it involves cutting out the cowel panel and subsequent panel and paint works, if you have A/C it will likely cost you even more, a lot of money to part with that may see resale more desired but not reflected in value,

Hey AG,
I think $5,000 to $8,000 for a quality RHD is very optimistic. I would expect two to three times that, and Big Al is the right person in Sydney for that kind of job.

Hi guys just a query what would you be looking at cost wise for a quality RHD conversion on say a '66 model would around the $5,000 to $8,000 be realistic, if anyone has had one done recently what sort of price was it ?

Any recommendations in Sydney for this sort of work, Als my guess any others ?

Cheers AG.

I put one of these in mine to fine tune the ignition timing. Very happy with it.

I imagine it would be fine, but I am trying to keep this as numbers matching as possible. All the date codes and part numbers line up...

ok - bought a MSD distributor spring kit and had a play in the weekend and got the advance where I wanted it. 12 initial, no real advance until about 1,500rpm, then progressively advances until about 4,500rpm when it has around 24 mechanical or 36 total. Seems really happy, fingers crossed.

I put one of these in mine to fine tune the ignition timing. Very happy with it.

Tech Torque Pre 1973 / Re: '65 FB Seat Doesn't Lie Flat

You can use shim plates on the front brackets to raise the height and the rear brackets can be squashed which causes drooping at the back. I also found the rear seat can get a bow in it from long-termed use, which won't let the assembly sit flat either.

So you can jus a fair bit of bashing and jiggery to get it flush again.

Thanks in advance for looking. Any leads appreciated. I am in northern NSW, so Qld and NSW is where I will be looking. Vic cars, maybe depending on budget.
