Title: 289 windsor
Post by: mswyld on June 07, 2006, 02:43:16 pm
currently have a 289 windsor with a 3spd manual (has the old style clutch linkages through the firewall) and is left hand drive!

I was looking at getting the motor reco'ed......

but stumbled across a 289 windsor with a 4spd manual out of a za fairlane which has not long been done up has roller rockers edelbrock bits etc etc

what would i need to change in order to fit the 4spd and motor:

tailshaft?
clutch manual linkages?

or would it slot straight in?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

You will not need to change absolutely anything else, It should all line up as if you are refitting the 289 with the 3 speed.
