Post by: v8ford70 on December 13, 2023, 12:38:57 pm
Need help ,I have recon my thompson power steering pump and want to paint it as close to the original Teal Blue colour, at present it had been painted black by previous owner. On its ID tag it should be Teal Blue. Has any one found a close match paint and if so would you please be able to pass on the colour code. Thanking you ,Cheers Phil

Hi Phil - I have about 350ml of the correct colour left, but I 'may' need to it to touch-up my pump after a repair that I have to do.
Are you in a hurry?

I have undercoated and am ready to paint ,would you have your paint code and a photo of what the colour looks like on your pump.

Hi Phil, I have the formula for Ford Dark Blue Poly, code H, from PPG.
Any PPG dealer can mix it for you, even put it in a spray can if you prefer.
Send me your email if you would like a copy.

I gave Richard Smykay, who was a concours fan, a can of it.
He was very happy with it.
