Title: AOD to 347
Post by: HAMBURGLAR on August 23, 2018, 09:55:09 am
One for the tech guys. I have a late model 302 roller engine stroked to 347 which has been set up as a 28oz external balance. My question is do I need to go to a 164 tooth 28oz flexplate or can I stay with the 157 tooth 28oz flexplate to fit the AOD trans im putting in. Too much info out there and i'm getting seriously confused. Cheers.

You need a 164t 28oz plate.

I'm doing the same thing with my build.

I used a PIONEER PIFRA-205 for mine.  You need to use an FMX compatible one to get the spacing correct.  If not it will push the converter into the pump.

Thanks Luke, I wasn't aware I needed and FMX compatible one.
