Title: Looking for anyone involved with the design of Australian Cobra components
Post by: jiffy on July 10, 2017, 05:15:06 pm
The collapsible steering column on my cobra has a bit of play in the lower spline, and a LHD one is very similar but shorter in overall length. I want to get the shaft replaced/repaired in my car because there is just a little too much play for me to be happy with, so I was wondering if:
a] there was a contact within Ford who was able to identify if this part was made specifically for the Cobra, or came from another car in the Ford global parts book.
b] anyone knows of a company who makes these/repairs these/copies these steering shafts?

Might be worth asking Craig Dean about it. Not much he doesn't know about RHD conversions of relatively late model Mustangs.
